Enjoy the Outdoors with Riverside Dining in Chertsey

Located on the banks of the Thames, riverside dining in Chertsey is very popular.  Many people go out of their way to come to Chertsey in the warmer months to be able to sit on the patio and dine al fresco near the water.  No matter what time of year you come to visit, dining by the river is typically a pleasure. And there’s no better place than the recently refurbished Boat House Restaurant.

Back to Nature
In Chertsey, spend some time with the family exploring the natural world.  After lunch in our family friendly restaurant  you and the family can spend the afternoon outdoors, finding some nature hideaways that you wouldn’t expect to find so close to London.  Dumsey Meadow is very close to the Chertsey Bridge.  It is the last undeveloped water meadow on the Thames and has been named as a Special Site of Scientific Interest.  As it is undeveloped, you will find plants and animals here that you may not see anywhere else.

Enjoy the outdoors by spending time in Dumsey Meadow or walking one of the many trails along the Thames lets you get back to nature without leaving the city.  Seeing the unspoiled Meadow is an opportunity you can enjoy in Chertsey.

Dining by the River
When the kids are away then cap off your day spent outdoors by enjoying an evening of riverside dining in Chertsey.  The Boat House Restaurant has great views of the Thames and are popular destinations, especially in the warmer months.  It’s a good idea to make a reservation for dinner earlier in the day so that you won’t be disappointed when it comes time to eat and the Boat House Restaurant has some great Signature dishes for you to try.

You might think that sitting by the water would be quiet and boring, but that is not the case.  The Thames is always busy with water traffic moving up and down through the Chertsey Lock and there is lots to see while you sit and eat your meal.  It’s a nice chance to let the world go by as you sit back and observe.

Despite the amount of water traffic going by, riverside dining in Chertsey can still be relaxing.  There is something calming about watching boats as the glide past you, travelling to unknown destinations.  Imagine watching the sun set over the water while you are enjoying your company and your meal.
Chersey is known for its scenic views of the Thames, its proximity to London, and the picturesque Chertsey Bridge.  Take in the beauty of nature while you sit back and enjoy the riverside dining in the Boat House Restaurant at The Bridge Hotel Chertsey.  Partaking of a well-prepared meal by the river is a great way to end off your day of exploring the area.

Riverside Dining and Other Ways to Enjoy the Bridge Hotel

If you’re looking for a great way this summer to bring excitement to your travel plans, consider dining outdoors. This alternative can make dinner plans more appealing, or give you a great excuse to enjoy a warm summer day. In an effort to promote riverside dining, Chertsey restaurants sometimes mention outdoor seating arrangements and give patrons the ability to choose their table when they book. Even in the event of a sudden rainstorm, many dining possibilities take these changes in stride by using umbrellas. These not only guard against moisture but help to block out some of the sun’s harshest rays, too.

Searching for a family friendly restaurant? Chertsey is one of the many places that can make this easy. Although travelling with a family can bring a unique set of challenges, it’s still possible to make hassle-free meal plans. Since there is usually an exciting element associated with riverside dining, Chertsey restaurants often make a point of recommending their establishment to families with children, and may even strengthen their appeal by offering meals that are particularly agreeable to finicky taste buds. In most cases, children love experiences that are just slightly out of the ordinary, so the prospect of dining along a river seems extremely worthwhile to younger travellers. To find enjoyable options for the whole family, try to plan ahead as much as possible. By either doing some research online or relying upon a guidebook dedicated to the Chertsey area, you can narrow down selections so that they meet everyone’s preferences as much as possible.

Talk to Locals

Although books and websites can certainly help to guide your travel experiences, local people can sometimes give the most relevant advice. Maintaining a friendly and open attitude can help your travels be more rewarding overall, and people are typically friendly enough to help you get information about the local area and the best places to dine.

You can also find out a lot about the reputation of a restaurant or local attraction by looking online for reviews. Also check the surroundings to see if the cuisine seems to be in demand. Is the car park full, and are there loyal customers waiting to be served? These characteristics can help you determine if a restaurant or attraction is worth visiting. After all, many people have neither the time nor patience to tolerate food or service that’s below standard. Therefore, a Riverside family friendly restaurant in Chertsey that’s staffed with individuals who are dedicated to a service oriented-attitude typically have no trouble building and maintaining a solid reputation. Don’t forget to post your own reviews of Chertsey riverside dining establishments so you can share information, too!

So have you checked out the Boat House Restaurant at the family friendly Bridge Hotel.  Its menus  are great value for money and with a separate children’s menu you can’t go wrong.  And the ambience and views are superb along with the friendly service. You can even enjoy your Sunday roast whilst sitting outside watching the boats go by.  And as a great family offer we have a special Summer deal whereby Kids eat Free when two adults have a main course from any of our menus.

To book your table outside call us on 01932 565644.
